mir needs to be "robustified" against the double on and double off

On a clean install of the mythtv-frontend 0.27 package with 9/16
updates, the frontend will not connect to a remote backend server. It
only looks to 127.0.0.1 for the backend, no matter what is specified in
the configuration:

I'm seeing the same behavior in 13.10 saucy with some Chelsio cards.
They consistently show up as rename3 and rename4.
Was there any resolution to your situation?
I can supply my logs as well if that would help.

Do not underestimate the importance of this bug.
Legacy ibus-pinyin release you currently shipping is designed to work
with IBus 1.4.x. As you've updated the IBus stack to IBus 1.5.x, you
need to make sure the engines are also recent enough.

Using 'export QEMU_AUDIO_DRV=alsa' in /etc/init/libvirt-bin should
switch from pulse to alsa. Still no sound though when I do that.

FWIW, Debian (upstream qemu following) now finally switched to vgabios
from seabios (so bochs lgpl vgabios isn't used anymore), and seavgabios
now have the resolutions mentioned - it looks like we've added these
based on the patch for bochs vgabios mentioned here.
