I've made some progress. By setting up an xorg.conf with a modeline for
the external display, I got graphics on the (lightdm) login screen to
show up on it. But the login input fields weren't on this screen (it was

of the Ubuntu kernel have shown the bug: v3.2.0-56 (64-bit) and

I have this bug as well with a geforce GT 640M. To answer that question,
it happens to me on both KDE (with compositing) and LXDE (no
compositing) so compositing does not appear to matter.
Also, for me, kernel 3.9 works fine; the issue only appears on newer
ones than that.

machine. Some did not even boot the system. Ubuntu 12.04 ans 13.10 among them.

I tried to install a new software by Lubuntu Software Center and after
this my Icons on desktop disapear. I think sudo action replace my user

@Daniel: Thanks for the additional hints. Actually I found an easier
way to build from your branch:
$ dh_autoreconf
$ ./configure --disable-tracker
$ make
That avoids the zeitgeist.h and gtk-doc errors, and allows me to simply
'make install' without having to generate a Debian package.

Are you sure?
The problem was detected running KERNEL 3.12-SAUCY, as described in the
beggining of the report.
The page you pointed to reports available kernels in version 3.7 yet.
I dis not send the report using it because the tool provide for deeper
investigations asked for an official kernel
You system seems to be falling back to software rendering causing high
CPU load. You XOrg logs also state that "Failed to load module "intel"
(module does not exist, 0)" and you don't seem to have an Intel driver
installed at all. You also seem to have some experimental graphics
driver packages ins
