Yes this is exactly the case, the bug is still not fixed. But in case
you couldn't fix it until trusty release just publish the workaround as
a release note, as it targets a rather old chipset model.

That isn't what the article is saying. Huge pages are not swappable at
the moment. However Andrea's work splits huge pages into base pages for
a number of reasons, one of those is memory pressure that would force
part of the page to be swapped out.

System hung again today but I was able to kill the X server (Xorg) with
signal 3 (QUIT) by ssh-ing in from another machine on the LAN, running

I never had any problems while using multiple partitions during the

harddisks in a LVM setu

It really would be appreciated. My experience with HUD-related bug
reports till now has been quite negative... It's like whatever they are
doing with the HUD, they don't want to communicate it to the community,
which is quite frustrating. For example, the bug where the HUD didn't
work with LibreOff
