Fixes upgrade failure caused by conflicting files. (LP: #1250006)
-- Iain LaneMon, 11 Nov 2013
Since I upgraded to 12.04 recently I've started to notice this problem.
Namely, indicator-datetime-service was still running at 100% CPU, and
was quickly restarted (with just highter PID) after killing its process.
However, I was puzzled why at the same time some geoclue- related
service also work
I just tried this on my 13.10 install, the hotkey to switch didn't work,
but more than that, the lock screen listed 3 different layouts and none
of them seemed to be the layout I wanted. In my account, I only have 2
layouts.

Booting a ThinkPad T420s with discrete graphics enabled in the causes a
hang during the boot.
The hang happens somewhere during udev startup, I think.
As described in #1007138, adding pci=noacpi to the kernel command line
fixes the problem.

I'm also facing it (and a lot of my friends at college are too since our
college provides internet behind a proxy). Would really appreciate if
this gets fixed.

Reencountered the same problem again today (again on my MPr 15"). I
_did_ shutdown the computer properly yesterday evening, but I'm pretty
sure that I closed the lid immediatly after clicking on shutdown.
