This is certainly a useful improvement is you have many monitors, but it is
also an issue as you have pointed out.
The best fix would just be to make it go beneath the panel, which shouldn't be
too difficult. We could also investigate a different location, Making it an
optional "identify" button
For the record, the new dep should be added to the actual -dev package;
that's precisely what the failing autopkgtest spotted :)

I have removed the newer kernels (using sudo apt-get remove) and tested
with the old kernel 3.5.0-31, the card still does not work. May not be a
kernel bug?
I have also tested the same CF card on another machine running much
older Ubuntu version. The card still works there.

The Wi-fi LED doesn't light in any circumstance, but this is not a problem,
since the LED only lights in Windows 8 after installing the requiered drivers.
In Windows 8 the Wi-Fi Fn key works by switching airplane mode ON/OFF and it
works right

I am facing the same issue on my Acer Aspire 573g with Kubuntu 13.10.
I've upgraded my bios to the actual offical supported Acer bios version
2.22. The problem remains, after booting the screen stays black until I

- Once or twice a week keyboard layout gets changed to UK layout. In Layout
setting the layout are still set to DK, (The only one on the list). Adding some
random layout and removing it again refreshes the setting so i again have to DK
layout.

This bug also affects 13.10, and is causing the maven-xml-plugin to fail
(which wasn't the cause in 12.04). I've attached a patch against the
source tree for version 1.2-4.

Just because it's unlikely, doesn't mean people won't want to use the
bottom launcher while this is open. Maybe just not having it open if you
have one display would work better

I'm having the same problem when PXE-booting nodes in the latest 13.04
release of MAAS (after following the install instructions.) I can
confirm that changing all references of 'mirror' to 'choose-mirror' in
the file /usr/share/maas/preseeds/generic solves the problem. This needs
to be fixed.
