encountered a slightly worse battery experience in respect to

Right, I think I see what's happening here - the panel comes in before
the edge gesture is recognized, but while it still *might* be an edge
gesture. It should only come in after the gesture is recognized.
It's easiest to see with a long-press on the edge - the panel will come
in and back out.

After upgrading to LUbuntu 13.10, gnome-keyring-daemon (from the package
gnome-keyring-3.8.2-0ubuntu3) was no longer started .
Asking around in IRC suggested that the correct solution to the problem
would be to upstartify gnome-keyring-daemon.

I see this issue reappearing for me in precise. I have 3 remote
