Hi. I updated from 13.04 to 13.10 couple days ago, and since I am using
two keyboard layouts, I used Alt+Shift to toggle between layouts. It
does not work, but started working the AltGr+5 (EUR sign). Old terminal
shortcut (Alt+F3) still works, only Alt+Shift does not.

Bug reports exist for the two issues. The debugger helper issue has
been ignored so far (which for me, is the most critical of the two), and
the unclosable/frozen windows issue is said to be fixed, but the update
comes to official PPA's "in a month or two" :(

Just need to get home and force restart the machine, because the balance
kernel bug stops server from restarting using normal methods. Need to

Hi Joseph,
I will try it but I don't know when will have time to do some tests
again. I noticed that upgrading link to 1Gbps makes filesystem more
stable. I suppose that this only occurs when doing heavy transfers to
disk.

apt-add-repository corrupts sources.list with multiple options
My wife is a professional photographer and uses gimp for most of her
editing. We also just updated to 13.10 from 13.04 and Gimp becomes
nearly unusable at times, with unity-panel-service often hogging a lot
of the CPU, causing very long delays for the menus to appear. This is a
major issue!
