It is not enough to just remove the sources.list files for the PPA, you
also need to downgrade to the official ubuntu versions of the packages
provided by that PPA. The page I linked to contains the following:

What I did:
(See attached video.) In both tests I've selected two files and right-clicked
one of them. In the first case I didn't move the cursor between releasing LMB
and pressing RMB; in the second case, I did.
What happened:
In the first case Nautilus acted like I've rig

Thank you for the bug report, this is a bug caused by the font rendering
library we use failing to render a language. I have a work around in
place and hope it reaches you soon!

Same problem here, I just upgraded Ubuntu from 13.04 to 13.10
Right now I'm using pbis-open lastest version (7.5.2.1527). This versions
worked fine justa few hours before upgrade.
Upgrade was normal, but when I tried to start session with any domain
user I got a few flashes and returned to lightd

It sounds like you got two seperate results with the upstream 3.12
kernel, per comments #5 and #7/8. Was you testing in comment #8 with
the 3.12 kernel, or the latest 3.11 kernel, suggested in comment #6?
