I ll try to use hda-analyzer tool from alsa-project just to see what happening
when I move the Bass speaker slider in alsamixer. It seems to me, that only

Mozilla version of Thunderbird or the Ubuntu one. Using it in any

I'm setting this as "Incomplete" because this needs further research.
According to the wiki page (which by the way is INCOMPLETE and UNDER
CONSTRUCTION), the version of the software that *has* that software is
in squeeze-backports and is 1.2.1-2, not 1.1.19-1, which is in Ubuntu
and was in Debian

Ran system-settings on the desktop and it did not find the device in the scan
For the record, the standard UI on desktop does find the device every time.

I just installed a fresh ubuntu 13.10 last beta after that:
sudo apt-get install gnome-panel
then I log off and choos gnome panel flashback session with effects and then...
Just try to shut down or log off under gnome-panel and u can't...
is not working, no menu appear to log
