So this is my final analysis:
The sound indicator has two parts: there is the part which gets loaded
to the panel and displays the icons and menus, and then there is the
dbus service which coordinates between the indicator and all the audio
players. Both these parts exist in both the gtk2 and gtk3
I also tried nvidia-319 in Raring with kernel v3.8, brightness hotkeys
don't work. So the bug seems to have been fixed between kernel v3.8 and
v3.11.

The exact model is:
A305-S6905 SYSTEM UNIT
MODEL NO. PSAG8U-04001W
This laptop was bought in Poland.
Laptop is running fine under Oneric kernel, although web cam is not realiable.
It works for only 20 min skype video call, and then there is only black screen
from camera.

Are you running packages that are after September 7th? (currently,
those only exist in the Mythbuntu repo). You'll see from this commit
that it's literally impossible for mythlogserver to crash anymore

I am running the mythbuntu repo. Mythlogserver appears to be active as a
result. Dropping the repo would fix this issue, correct? Thanks for following

Let me know. What I'm getting at is that with current packages it
should be impossible for mythlogserver to crash because we aren't
installing mythlogserver because we've disabled mythlogserver from
compiling.
