Well, I added the patch once. Then I got an update (I'm on Lubuntu, though I'm
not sure it makes any difference).
And the bug came back with some installation.

I am unable to change the brigthness of the screen, the controls work
properly but changing the brightness level has no impact on the screen
brightness. It feels like the old intel brightness regression bug. The
brightness is always at the full level.

Similar here. As far as I recall, this started rather recently. About a
month ago. System now tells me battery
is always full and will last 4h28. Led indicator now tells me baterry us not
present.
