This is still an issue with recent kernels. I tested Quantal and one of
the Saucy dailies (3.10) on my laptop with an Intel 6205 card, both had
about half the throughput (~50Mb/s vs ~100Mb/s) that it gets under

FYI I believe the issue is further upstream, i.e. with libmad, not mpg321.
I am on Arch linux, and gcdmaster (a gui frontend to cdrdao, using libmad for

I put together a ppa with fixes for precise for this issue.
Can someone who is experiencing this issue please test this ppa, and let
me know if it fixes the issue. Please report back so I can continue

Tried this tonight with 13.04. Installed the DEB and all seems to be
fine so far. I was getting kernel panic and freeze during periods of
high wifi usage.
