I do not sure this is a transcriber bug.
The problem is easily solved by installing libsnack2-alsa (this is possible
with transcriber-1.5.1.1-6) instead of libsnack2 or by providing some oss
emulation (e.g., using padsp).

Installed my Canon MG6220 printer today using the Printers applet in
System Settings. It found it right away and I chose the recommended
Gutenprint driver: Canon PIXMA MG6200.
Without changing a single setting I clicked on Print Test Page. You can
see the result in the attach
I do not think that this bug belongs to transcriber.
Transcriber and TranscriberAG are two different tools and import/edit/export
different file formats: TranscriberAG neither is new version of Transcriber
neither is a drop-in replacement.
