not get the workaround working. I continually get prompted for the
password, and can confirm this was working in 12.10. Unsure what debug

Petro has a point. There are laptops being sold that come with Ubuntu
13.04. Imagine plunking down your hard earned money for a brand new
laptop come to find out that your OS has a huge amount of bugs and can't
even play video correctly. No wonder there are not many manufacturers
that offer Ubuntu.
This version seems to still depend on openstack-pkg-tools, but as that
is in main now - I think we can accept that.

I too just ran into this issue on my 12.04.2 server. It's been working
for a while and then a couple updates and a reboot stopped all that. I
can run a "sudo mount -a" after I log into my server to fix it but it
will fail to mount the NFS share at boot.

I suspect that the sleep command will swallow the keypress. Passing it
on to the menu somehow would be one possible avenue of attack here,
though possibly counterintuitive; I'm not sure that I expect e.g.
pressing Enter at the hiddenmenu delay to effectively bypass showing the

on other tab loaded + 4 not loaded.
Maybe it's because I'm upgrading a VirtualBox machine in the background, but
upgrade started when I was using Firefox 20 and I didn't have any freezes.

THANK YOU ADAMSABLICH , after trying your posted solution I tried
suspending through closing lid, through terminal and through menu for
like 10-15 times and it worked without fail even while VIRTUALBOX is
active. Hopefully it should keep working this way till the next release
of Ubuntu :)

after upgrading to kernel 3.9 or 3.9.1. the suspend works fine for
sometime and sometime it stops working again and I have to keep
switching off my laptop all the time and I have noticed that it also
happens mostly when VIRTUALBOX is active.
