I got the same Problem, CCSM doesnt remember the 60hz and i also have to turn
off "Sync to VBlank" in Nvidia-Settings to get no stutter when running glxgears
and compiz at the same time.
I also run ccsm and set it every reboot cause the setting also reverts to 50hz.

my system hangs on shutdown when using NVIDIA accelerated graphics
driver (version current) [Recommended] with Ubuntu 12.04. changing to
NVIDIA accelerated graphics driver (post-release updates) (version
173-updates) allows my computer to fully shut down. the problem

illegal for anyone of any age to look at that particular image. If we
filter this, perhaps we should also filter out images of guns, flag

Ah, I see. I would have set it as Fix Released myself, but I thought
perhaps there would be some slight degree of interest in back porting
the fix to people not running the beta version of Ubuntu. Sorry to

It seems the installer does not consider virtio devices when doing its
search. It also seems the installer does not have the virtio-scsi
module, and it seems a bit wasteful to go through a layer of scsi
emulation.
Shouldn't qemu at least warn you that the media=argument does nothing on
virtio dev
