file /etc/vpnc/vpnc-script included in vpnc and in the similar file
shipped by vpnc-scripts... which is recommended by vpnc.

I see the same issue on 12.10 quantal, switching from hdmi audio to analog
fixes it.

Proposed workaround works, indeed I don't think this is the "Watermark"
bug at all. Besides, the origin of this bug is described here:
