This is a show stopper. You cannot deal with the UI. I just updated to
the latest nightly (package says bzr3163) and I now have no panels. I
tried to manually launch unity (sudo and not, via ctrl-alt-t to get
terminal) and it spits out "unity-panel-service: no process found".
