Quantal kernels and they both work as expected. No regressions have been

posting this using the new driver from linux-next on Ubuntu 12.10 x86_64

This bug appears to affect my system. Sony VAIO 64 Bit Running Xubuntu
12.04, Radeon Driver with FGLRX drivers installed. Suspend and resume
worked flawlessly for several months. The bug has now rendered Suspend/
Resume useless.

Well, provided kernels has been robustly working till the moment. With
respect to the fact that unpatched kernels were producing panic in
average 30 minutes I assume these kernels as stable.
