I'm very new with Linux. I had the same problem ( wi-fi not
recognized/working) on Ubuntu 12.10 - kernel 3.5.0-17. I followed the steps of

I configured mplayer (~/.mplayer/config) and vlc ( ~/.config/vlc/vlcrc)
to use /dev/sr0 instead of the default /dev/dvd device. This way at

this bug, and he has clarified that this bug is indeed for the nm-applet
becoming unresponsive to interactions and submenus showing an empty list
issue. The fix for the leaks is correct but it did not fix the
underlaying issue t
ok so the graphical glitches seem to be gone, im not sure what i did to
fix it, i did add the staging team ppa, might have been that. So what do
i do to mark this as "magically fixed somehow" ?. Now i just need to get

When I install the python-netcdf package from quantal and I create a python
script w/ only the line "from netCDF4 import Dataset". If I then run that
script I get the error message:
