of 12:57 (noon) 5 Dec 2012...
When system log is launched, no password prompt is made, no messages are
displayed, etc.
Therefore the bug has still not been fixed.

OK, so I've found the underlying cause of the extremely bad performance
when moving OpenGL windows around (or moving anything around while
OpenGL is running).

Does the v3.6-rc1 kernel[0] boot? If not, we can perform a bisect
between v3.5 final and v3.6-rc1. It would probably also be good to
confirm v3.5 final[1] does not have this bug as well, so we know we have
the correct starting/ending versions(To rule out this being fixed in a
3.5 stable release).

I'm not able to recreate the issue you're seeing. Working off the doc at
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/CloudInit . I've attached the user-data that
was created by write-mime-multipart, but here is what I did
Could you give me an example that fails?
Also, just fyi,
a.) you dont have to change /etc/cloud/cloud.cfg's value of preserve_hostname.
cloud-config input setting that will do the same thing as you were attempting.
b.) you can set the hostname by cloud-config input with 'hostname'.

It looks like we should bisect between v3.5 final and v3.6-rc1. Can you
confirm by testing the following two kernels:
v3.5 final: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.5-quantal/
v3.6-rc1: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.6-rc1-quantal/
v3.5 final should not have the b
Now that the fix has been published to quantal-updates, I have removed
the version from my PPA. If you installed the version from my PPA,
please downgrade from 2:1.13.0-0ubuntu7~12.10 to 2:1.13.0-0ubuntu6.1.
