The menu appears in the app panel but dissapears when trying a mnemonic
like Alt-f. The keystroke results in no activity other than causing the
menu to dissapear.
Mouseover and Alt-f10 make the menu re-appear and function except for

Also happens to me.
Running 12.10 with 3.5.0-18-generic x86_64.
For the record:
Hard drive 5400 RPM from Seagate
Lenovo is mainboard vendor
Happens both on battery and plugged in.

Hi Kambiz,
Next step will be to verify that you're also having a regression from
11.10, like the original poster. Can you boot a live-CD of 11.10, verify
that the headset mic is working there, and attach an alsa-info from when
the mic is working? Thanks.
