Hi Seth. After 'parsing' Pidgin profile with 'apparmor_parser' command
everything seems to be okay. No errors related to TOK_PROFILE and
TOK_OPEN. Really, it was pretty strange, but Pidgin profile was listed
in profiles with 'enforce' mode. I checked AppArmor status to see what
really happened with
Filling last sector of HDD with zeros did not help me. There was a
"PRIVHEAD" string at beginning of sector, it is now deleted, checked few
times, to be sure, but after sudo update-grub I still got "insmod ldm".
Hope that this did not trashed my disk :P

I had the same problem using a Ubuntu 12.10/Gnome 3.6/Radeon HD 6650M
/fglrx-updates set up. None of the workarounds worked for gnome-shell
(although they worked when using Unity).
My workaround was to uninstall gnome-screensaver and replace it with
xscreensaver.

This was not an upgrade to quantal, but a dist-upgrade of quantal, because of a
package had to be removed. Sorry if this was not obvious.

a very, very rare thing on most systems.

I'll try to explain what you're seeing now, hopefully it will be helpful
in the future.
First, you don't strictly need to store your profiles in
/etc/apparmor.d/ -- the profile does not actually need to exist as a
file.

OpenArena is one of the games it affects. The higher the starting
resolution is, the greater the effect. It looks like the game is being
scaled to the prior resolution. If the game is at a higher resolution
than the starting resolution, the game crashes. For games being run
through wine, xrandr --a
I think it's due to either RAM or GPU load. I simulated a full CPU load,
and wasn't able to reproduce this.

Launcher in auto-hide mode re
Using ubuntu 12.10, the bug is still there.
I've set resize window mode to normal, then when I resize a windows, the
app who's windows is being resized uses most of cpu.
Ubuntu 12.10, 64 bits, Fresh install.
