I've tried recreating this bug with precise and was unable to, given the

Moreover from
Kernel test install 3.6.2 produces the same results. Phone is not
detected. Other USB devices do work and are mounted. lsusb with new
kernel produces the same code as when nothing is plugged in:

you switch into a text control (use ctrl-alt-f2 to switch to a text console and

Christopher, sorry I was not very clear.
On my PC I had kernels going back to 3.2.0-17, but with all of these kernels,
3.2.0-17 included, suspension does not work.
So I was not able to find a kernel with a working suspension.
If you think it's necessary I will install and test the older kernels un

http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/
Is this the right place or should I get them from somewhere else ?

Christopher, I did not enable the touchpad before login. Regarding
modprobe, I don't know what is it, maybe I did it before when trying to
get the device working, I'm not sure.
