Hi @all, playing around I found an BIOS update for the netbook from Acer
upgrading the BIOS from version 1.00 to 1.05. Without that the touch pad will
not working under Windows 7 either.
After upgrading and installing the driver the touchpad runs fine under Win7
including the multi touch gestur
This crash occurred on my system. Apport started the bug collection but
never completes and uploads the data. Just stops with no other
indications.

I think this is a serios bug (if not, is just because this encryption methos
isn't so common). I can't actually connect to the wireless if persistance is
enabled, as it will save the wireless preference on next boot and the system
became unusable.

“nautilus -q” as before, then the desktop disappears, and that's

disk is writing like nuts. i kill libreoffice, destroying my document.

I just upgraded to 12.10 from 12.04, and now my login isn't working.
When I log in with the incorrect password, it tells me that it's wrong,
but when I log in with the correct password, it just brings be me back
to the login screen.
I can login as Guest - which I setup without a password - but the

Confirming. I installed a Quantal desktop (encrypted disk), and then I
re-run the ISO. Same end result, Ubiquity states the disk has no systems
installed.

Sorry, but the only reason I mentioned KVM was that I initially tested
in KVM with no issues what so ever - and that was what caused me to go
ahead with a direct hardware install. The issue above IS a direct
hardware install (no KVM)!
Thus, I hope this can be fixed before Thursday as I would quite
lsusb with only the phone plugged in issues:

I guess a workaround will be to remove the hard disk while installing
onto the SSD then add the hard disk back in afterwards. Just a bit of a
hassle really. Surely there will be many users who have multiple drives
in their machine.
