I am also affected by this bug. My set up seems to be roughly the same
as well, 2 monitors and an Nvidia card. Like stated above I just login

I tried the Jeremy's ppa on Beta 2 Ubuntu 12.10 (gnome shell) and it
doesn't seem to work anymore. The daemon throws no error on the terminal
but I cannot see the indicator now can I type in Japanese.
