I have 12.04 (Xubuntu) and have cups (1.5.3-0ubuntu4).
Rebooted a few times as well.
My Canon MP500 and 98% of the time it hangs halfway through the last page.
Printer becomes unresponsive and needs to be power cycled.

Attached the minidlna.conf upstart init file.
Here is how to use it:
First You need to copy it to /etc/init/
cp minidlna.conf /etc/init/
Then you need to remove minidlna from the old systemv init system by typing:
sudo update-rc.d -f minidlna remove
now you need to symlink the upstart script to
v4 seems to behave similarly to v3: it also crashed after many hours,

what fixed it for me was to change in /etc/postfix/sasl/smtpd.conf:

- have a separate search bar for online searches
- a local filter won't make it, cause an error in the file path (typing
"secrez-filename" won't exactly match locally, but so
I should add that this is a problem only if the system / is part of the
