I've hit similar issues with XFS, and used the not-so-lovely workaround
of setting 'barrier=0' as mount options for that filesystem, which works
great. Not sure if it'd work with ext4 or not.

downsides to your proposal as I see it: 1. having extra files in the
destination directory which were not created by vmbuilder will be more
confusing, 2. 'if something does not work (due to permissions or other
issues), blame
This project is a break out from the current novnc package (as done
upstream), so I do not really consider it a feature. Thanks.

While the current proposed fix resolves fine for vlc & calibre please check

I know what's going on here. It seems fontconfig requires now one rule
applies to one pattern.
I rewritten the above codes in a 'separted' form, one pattern per font,
everything goes fine.
Yeah, users should be OK with this, except that it makes linux people
more and more stupid.

[regression][precise] synaptics: Vertical edge scrolling broken in the
late
I also tried find /var/lib/dkms/fglrx-updates -name make.log and nothing
happened, however, I do know that it has never happened before using the
"proposed updates" setting under package sources. I could be wrong but
it seems to be with the proposed update.
