This regression first appeared in 12.04 and is still present in 12.10.
Swiss French keyboard layout is found under "German (Swiss) -> Français
(Suisse)" which makes no sense.
It should be under Swiss -> or French ->.
This makes it hard for people in the french speaking part

I have found the following steps reproduce it everytime for me. I have
attached a video which should make it clearer, but will type it as well:
