For the record: this crash is unlikely to happen out there: it happened
on my machine because I had an additional service file for the google
account, which I've been using for development/testing purposes.

If I have multiple linux distributions I may want to re-install grub to
the partition with '/boot' from the other install, not the current one.
There are no conflicts on EFI partitions, as when we install in UEFI
mode grub uses it's own subdirectory as per UEFI spec.

here is proof that that is not always the case.
After foo logs in and out, "groups foo" and "getent group domadmins"
omit foo from domadmins whereas "getent group" still includes foo in

Disabling the "Framebuffer object" option in CCSM->OpenGL brings Compiz/Unity
to almost the same speed like Compiz standalone.
It seems that unityshell does not like this option.

Checked this with the Precise kernel, and the generic kernel there
supports the virtio_console module that activates the vports correctly.
Udev then creates the devices as expected.
So this looks like a deficiency in the kernel configuration on Quantal.
