I updated to kernel 3.3.6-030306-generic and its not freezing any more
however now I have a wireless connection that drops all the time... what is
strange though, if I connect to my MIFI mobile hotspot its fine.. only drops
with my wireless verizon modem..
worked fine before the kernel update.
This bug persists in precise with cwiid-0.6.00+svn201. The patch has
long been accepted upstream, so I would suggest to either include the
patch as a quick fix (see attachment) or update the entire package to a
more recent SVN revision. Is any maintainer still active?

Sorry, I was too quick with my original bug report. Testing over night
has shown that while kernel versions 2.6.39, 3.0 and 3.1 showed no
dropped packets, the connection was still unstable. I have rewritten the
report accordingly. If this is not a good idea, then I can also create a
new report and

I really don't know if it is by design but I hope not. Thumbnails shown
in the lens don't give any indication whether they are in the hard drive
or in Picasa (I don't now about the other services but I image it is the
same)
