In my case, I get a similar crash (same title in Apport than in this
bug) but it happens on both supsend/resume and cold boot. Not sure if I
should test the fix in -proposed or open a different bug report. My
machine is a Vostro V131 running 12.04. Please let me know what you

Everything went fine and I finally reached the option to choose try or install.
I choose try and click on install xubuntu 12.10 icon. Then I created two
partitions, one for root and
I can't reproduce this in qemu-system-ppc; the installer is slow (of
course, since it's all being emulated) but starts up fine. Perhaps this
is a window management problem?

More information: I think this bug is a regression because before 12.04 the
printer worked fine, and version 1.5.3-0ubuntu2 had fixed this, but cups
