After I did the dist-upgrade from 12.04 to 12.10 I started to see random
kernel-crashes. They are non-deterministic and sometimes only happen
every few hours and then the happen a few times within an hour.
In /var/log/syslog I also found wireless-related warning...

As the Debian Maintainer seems to be interested to include this fix in
Debian, and there isn't currently a delta between Debian and Ubuntu in
Quantal, it would be really good to get this support into Debian first,
and merge the package once this has happened.

I got the same problem a few minutes ago, from a fresh install (Ubuntu
64 bits - Gnome classic). The system switch to Chinese without any
apparent reason. I have no Chinese package installed (as long as I
know), I don't even know how Ubuntu can translate the UI in Chinese
without the Chinese packag
Feel free to disable the feature, but for most people, the new tab page
is significantly more useful than the blank page.
If that's not good enough, feel free to switch to another browser
though. Chrome, Opera and Midori all have similar features
