On Ubuntu 12.04, I was having same issue. By changing group and owner of
`.gnupg/*` resolved this issue for me:

An SRU of nspr to make CD-based upgrades work better from 10.04 to 12.04 has
caused failures in other cases where users have continuously upgraded their
systems from Ubuntu 9.04 or earlier and as a result have had old, obsolete
evolution packages held back.
i can't (obviously) comment for other people, but I may have discovered the
cause of my problems.
It turns out that many of my problems recently were probably caused by a ram
stick gone bad. So, I checked my ram only a couple of months ago (to rule it
out as the cause for another problem). Then
And I accidentally submitted the comment without finishing it.
Anyway, so with Ubuntu playing up generally, I checked my ram again,
found that the 2GB stick (two sticks, one 2GB and one 512MB) was bad. I
removed it, and the other problems stopped. I just thought today that
Firefox had also stopped

I got into a bit of dependency ickiness when installing the 2.12 deb for
quantal on precise. Can build from source when I have some more time
later.

Sam, in the same way if the system is suspended in Guest session it
again asks for the password. But I believe that's not indicator-session'
fault rather some other package here is to blame.

I did a module blocklist to stop bluetooth and btusb from loading,
because I was suspicious that was related due the messages I saw when
running pm-suspend. However that did not fix it, after that pm-suspend
would lock the machine up with max load without putting out any
messages.
