I assume this could easily be fixed with os.path.exists().

(completely dimmed out) when it usually shows 3 out of 4 lines bright on

Peter: appears to be being rendered (in the panel) with BGR sub-pixel
ordering (instead of RGB), and without the vertical autohinter in use.
For the sub-pixel ordering; there are some possibilities:
1. the system rendering settings aren't being read/used
2. the text is being rendered as white
Any progress on this one? This is happening since three years, easy
fixes and workarounds are available, and this problem happens very often
and is a big usability blocker, and very visible to users.

I can confirm the error with my wlan-stick. It works perfectly in an
initial install of ubuntu 12.04 after updating to the latest patch state
via update-manager the device just stopped working properly.

1) CONFIG_DEBUG_HIGHBANK_UART is not enabled
2) HB_DEBUG_LL_VIRT_BASE resides in vmalloc area, wasting memory
3) arch/arm/mach-highbank/include/mach/debug-macro.S uses the predefined
phys/virt uart io address directly - should calculate the value from
HB_DE

Tested on a fat client, confirmed that prior to the update I'd just get
an empty desktop without unity, post-upgade unity 3d starts as expected.

Oh, and if a deactive one plugin in the shockwave list, the video play
in normal velocity but lagging... So it's relative to a plugin. When the
newer is actived the video is super fast, when a older version is
actived the video lags. Very unfortunate bug indeed.

The fix for this bug has now landed in the Unity 5 tree to be released in 5.16.
I am told it will be available for testing soon in one of the PPAs owned by
unity-team. Most likely it will appear in:
