The crash usually shows itself in Impress. It seems to happen less often
in the other components.
To reproduce the crash I do the following:
1. Start Libreoffice Impress;
2. Make some changes and close Impress;
3. Click on Discard changes.

On 12.04 with a Radeon HD 6400M, the kernel boot option
"radeon.modeset=0" seems to solve the issue (almost).
Add this to /etc/default/grub:
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX="radeon.modeset=0"
Then run:
sudo update-grub
This solves the continuous switching in the first few minutes after
login. However,

system testing application, but with (apparently) the Linux kernel,
which for some reason can't recognize your webcams.
I moved the bug to the Linux kernel. I'd like to ask you to please run

HTTPS requests fail
The bug seems to appear when a large NTFS volume is mounted. Apparently
the storage monitor zeitgeist extension uses 100% of a core trying to
access the volume. By blacklisting the volume I solved the problem.
