Cause: Ubuntu is lacking a proper upnp / dlna player that is simply

OK, here's the solution to this problem:the config file
~/.mythtv/config.xml was NOT correct because it was in the wrong user's

This is a old bug report (2008) but I think I got the sample problem today
(2012)... and maybe I can help with details about the problem.
I download Ubuntu image "ubuntu-12.04-desktop-amd64.iso" e wrote it on usb
pen-drive, under Windows 7, using tue recommended software
