Good news. I couldn't reproduce this bug because whatever it is seems to
have been fixed in lp:compiz somewhere after r3249. Not sure which
revision fixed it but I can confirm the bug occurs with lp:compiz r3249
but does not with r3285.
I have not bisected it completely yet.

When I start Writer or Impress (I haven't lock thier icons on the launcher), it

a) it is not listed between the applications in the launcher (and even in the

Compiz Screenshot renders blue overlay on scree
I have the same problem here, on the LTS release (12.04 64bit).
After some time, preload.state gets corrupted, with comments like "line 2693:
invalid tag".
Removing the line does not solve the problem, since it leads to other errors.
