I'm migrating here from bug 1014744, I'll recap that one briefly.
The affected system is very similar (Lenovo SL510), so potentially the
same innards, just a bigger frame to accomodate the 15-inch screen.
The behavior I see was originally reported as a failing Mute button, but
upon closer inspect

A problem with ipsec-tools 0.8.0 was identified when several android clients
(now using this version in 4.0 or "ice cream sandwich") suddenly could no
longer connect with L2TP VPN. The problem is described here:

Also affecting me. Not a new install. Fully updated system.
Tried killing the process and then doing
dpkg --configure nautilus-dropbox
just in case but it does the same thing but I did get a traceback when
cancelling this:

After some investigation, I think this problem has to do with the test
case itself not being an adequate one for a VM. The test case fails if
the VM fails to boot in under 2 mins, which when the host of the VM is
overloaded with runs, doesn't happen. I think this test case should be
removed, since
