I should add something again. I just noticed that when my wifi is ON but
NOT connected to any network, the power consumption is as high as when
the wifi is OFF. Connecting to my wifi network, the battery discharge
rate decreases by nearly 1 Watt.

1280x1024 on the external display much better than 1024x768.

It turned out that the problem was the following:
Before Ubuntu version upgrade starts, a btrfs snapshot is created. The
user is, however, not notified. Free space is counted incorrectly, which
means that even when there's no space on the filesystem, the user is
informed about a lot of free space.

The most obvious is that "conf_pulse_hook_load_if_running" needs to
connect to PA and confirm it's really running, in that specifically if
it's suspended or not. I believe it would be fine if PA was suspended
for another reason for applications
