Printing broken after 12.0
No luck with the wifi on this laptop with any linux flavour yet.
http://www.linlap.com/wiki/samsung+305u seems to indicate this is a wifi driver
bug in brcmsmac that does not affect the brcm-wl.
I have no trouble with the wifi in Windows. I am reluctant to open the
laptop.

problem was Windows. I have been having so much trouble with remmina
that I just kept assuming Windows was fine. In this case, it was the

search function (ctrl+f) randomly launching
To manage notifications about this
I would also like to explain why I need to use mencoder instead of some
other program. My wife has a hearing problem so when I compress my mpeg
videos with closed captioning I lose the closed captioning, so I convert
the closed captioning into subtitling on the screen using mencoder.
