The application may come back. I think sending SEGV to it, while solving
this problem by pushing it through the traditionally crash handler, is
ultimately overkill.

Actually, Firefox freezes too. It wouldn't be better simply disable HUD
when using Firefox or, at least, don't scan Firefox bookmarks menu? It's
actually redundant, since the address bar already does that. HUD is only

Apport done, as you can see apport is refusing to work correctly for me
probably because I'm not(and I cannot) use the ubuntu precise current
kernel(I guess 3.0.3) as it now gives erros after updgrade to quantal,

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT (in /etc/default/grub)?

only external screen is working with asus zenboo
i just grabbed latest queued branch and made some tests with external vga.
Results are still same:
- if vga attached after boot. both displays are recognized VGA and eDP
- if vga attached before boot. only VGA is recognized.
- modeset vs nomodeset make no difference.
