This is a renewal of bug #994240 . Since upgrade to ubuntu 12.04 one of
the gnome support functions of XFCE is broken, i.e. nautilus -n does not
work anymore.

I was using it the last few days last week. It had a clean, updated
install of 12.04 64 bit. The video performancwe was very laggy. So I
took a look at what it had for video. It was nvidia, and thew 295-40
driver was installed.

VLC crashed with SIGSEGV in QMetaObject::activate() in 64bit Kubuntu
Natty using VLC 1.1.9. I submitted a dump when I was prompted to do so.
