after I upgraded from package 5.2.1 to 5.2.2.1 I no longer even get that
window popping up if I click on "turn on recommendations".

It's reproducible on any version of Firefox that I've tried including
the ones distributed with Ubuntu (10.04 through to 12.04) an from 3.5 up
to FF12.
I can try and obtain another backtrace from your suggestion, but using
the steps to reproduce and the test case it's easy to reproduce.

I am seeing the exact same thing here, only difference is my Exchange
server is 2010. I did get around the bug by using my server's IP address
rather than fqdn in account settings. For some reason, it allows the GAL

Seems like a bug in gdebi to be honest. After opening the menus once the
colors are fixed.

same issue with a nvidia geforce2 mx400. with ubuntu 11.10 i was able to
install nvidia driver from ubuntu and from xswat repo as well. on 12.04
LTS nothing. i tryed nouveau with gnome classic it works but the windows
are without the frame visible...

(https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates), so you have
the 2.19 version of the intel driver instead of the 2.17 that comes with
precise. Also, you are using a newer kernel, with improved DRM code.
I, too, have this ppa enabled a
downgrade nvidia drivers worked for me well. I recommend 290.10 version

Ah, thanks Martin. I had thought apt-cache rdepends checked Build-
Depends. Using 'reverse-depends' let me see the same thing.
So yeah, seems like we could drop the lot back to universe. /me waits
