I can reproduce this bug 100%. Also there is a workaround, just using
Gnome classic (No effects). But if I use anything fancy which has
desktop effects, all I need to do is mplayer some video, and as soon as
screen saver starts to dim the screen, computer just shuts down.
I have plenty of these in

to reboot/shutdown - hoping that this is no longer necessary when I
update the kernel (just struggling with getting the nVidia display
driver to install when I update the kernel)

The disappearing menu just happened to me again. I clicked on the menu
to select "Tools", then moving the mouse makes the menu disappear so
that nothing is selectable. However, moving the selection by using the

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make
Ubuntu better. The issue you are reporting is an upstream one and it
would be nice if somebody having it could send the bug to the developers
of the software by following the instructions at

The correct solution to this problem is to use
svn propset svn:eol native
This way windows users will see a file with CR+LF, and unix users will
see plain LF.
I agree that LyX could implement what you describe, but that would be a

I'm not sure, but as the same developer has organized it already and
it's fix commited, I'm just going to let it be. The one you mentioned
also dealt with overlapping windows while this one is about edge
windows.

It seems that the fix here might be to simply change the button text to
"Install" when a purchase is completed but its download/installation
failed for any reason. Steve, would that made sense to you? "Please try
again" is an interesting idea.

Unable to print
Just to round this off.
The release version of 12.04 installs fine on both of our HP Proliant DL
585 G7 servers. One has the original firmware and one has the latest
firmware.
