Regarding the ppa-purge problem: I tried to downgrade manually via apt-get
install pkg=version but the error persists.
e.g. apt-get install libpulse-mainloop-glib0=1:1.1-0ubuntu15 tries to remove
the 32bit libraries and adobe-reader: adobereader-deu ia32-libs
ia32-libs-multiarch:i386 libpulse-ma
A patch to support this device was added to the recently released
upstream kernel 3.4, and to the upstream stable kernel 3.2.18. The
latter should be coming to Ubuntu 12.04 "Precise Pangolin" as an SRU at
some point in the future.

rebooted, and could no longer connect at all. I uninstalled it and now I
can connect, again, but I am still having the extreme slowdowns. I am
glad I also have wireless.
Also, I have powered down and disconnected the PC from AC power
The freezes have begun to occur again. I am not able to close windows
or open a terminal. I switched to command line using ctrl+alt+f1 and
attempted to restart lightdm, but my system remained frozen.
I now believe it has to do with bluetooth as my system has been crash
free for the last week in w

when thunderbird crash, after scanning data no reports is sent).

I am having a nightmare trying to install Ubuntu Server 12v04 LTS on an HP
Proliant Microserver N40L that has "FakeRAID 10".
Linux Ubuntu System drive is on a separate SSD. The "Fake RAID" consists of 4x
500MB WD electro-mechanical HDs to be in a Data-Only mode.

Kernel crash on EC2 m1.large
Writing that I noticed that the traces differ based on different
kernels. One set has -24.37 and the other -23.36. So that may just cause
a slightly different timing or location of certain things...

the very OLD python-pymssql and python-pyodbc packages.

python-pyodbc struggles with unicode decoding problems (TDS_Version = 8.0).
