I seem to be seeing the same behaviour on Oneiric Ocelot: hibernate
appears to work, but the laptop later boots like it was shut down,
rather than sent to hibernation. I have tried it several times and it is

I then installed precise alpha 2 and upgraded, also no change. Still

I have Ubuntu Oneiric, I had kubuntu-desktop 4.7 installed, then did the
following
* sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
* sudo apt-get update

After download, it started to install, but got the same error as abov
For your information, I tried the kernel from -proposed on my A4, and it
works well. I haven't tried any older board to see if it's still working

no the issue is fixed in Ubuntu 11.10 it may happen when nautilus
crashes and is not drawing the desktop.. Or in some rare cases after a
Unity crash you may face the issue but for other cases its fixed.

I've still got the same issue (Oneiric). I'm using XDM and EvilWM.
As a work around, what I do is:
- Alt+Ctrl+F1
- login
- /etc/init.d/xdm restart
- login via XDM
- kill the F1 console
I think the encryption is correct. By logging in via a console and then
restarting XDM, it sees the u

On this T420 lenovo, when using the nouveau driver, the screen doesn't
redraw properly when windows change. I'll attach a small video to
