This might be more a wishlist item, but I found the mechanism for getting
Xubuntu live started in persistent mode using a 'casper-rw' USB drive to be a
bit unwieldy:
(0) as an aside, I think the initial boot splash should include a message like
'press any key for boot optio
IMHO, this should wait until alpha 2 since it's on the Ubuntu Studio
images unless the Ubuntu Studio devs want it, I'll monitor this bug for
comments, the package builds fine in precise, so that's not a blocker

Hi Guybrush88! Ubuntu Studio has blender seeded for a default install,
and we were wondering whether you had tested this new release of it on a
precise install yet? Some of us are a little concerned that it hasn't
been approved for debian testing yet, so can it be trusted?

I am not using firefox much now because of this bug among other reasons.
I am on Lucid Lynx and will try to reproduce it.
The worst part of this bug is menus and other "quick" windows. Seems
they are "system modal" and when FF freezes i can not interact with the
rest of the windowing system also.

I can get the subwoofer to work with /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf using:
