I don't know why I have not discovered this earlier, even with intense
googling. Turns out that 'mouseemu' is a decent workaround.
1) Install package 'mouseemu'
2) Run the command on terminal: mouseemu -typing-block 500

I'm sorry, I saw that some users write in Russian and thought that this
is acceptable.
Qutim tray icon disappears when there is any notifications. For example,
notification about anyone's in my contact list birthday. In that case
there is empty space in tray. When I click it, splash windows appear
I've got the same problem on a Debian Squeeze headless server, but i'm
reporting it here since it's the most active discussion I've found.
transmission-daemon -f helped , but it seems the problem stems from some kind
of bad incomplete folder config.
