Has a poke about in the BIOS, nothing really jumped out at me. There was
some XP specific options relating to shared video memory which are set
to auto and some legacy kb and mouse options which I have disabled (they
were enabled).
Not doing anything taxing on the machine at all. I don
there was also a problem with this in packages, that had versioned
dependency "argparse >= 1.1" in setup.py, but the argparse in python2.7
does not install argparse.egg-info so version is not known.

fourth time, it worked. I suppose the problem is caused if you choose
your root partition to be btrfs format. The forth time, I choose '/'

I just found this file (hs_err_pid2099.log) reporting the bug in my home
folder. I do have a couple of problems, also i don't know which is
relevant here : the audio is extremely choppy (movie music youtube...)
ever since i updated. Also internet keeps on crashing, and the com

Fatal Error
Is anyone aware of a workaround? I would be somewhat happy if the
touchpad, detected as PS/2 mouse, could be disabled during typing and a
few millisecs after. This really is killing the usability on this PC.,
but I would not like to go back to Windows.

I also experience this bug.
Linux 3.0.17-nonrad+ #1 SMP Wed Jan 18 12:24:31, ubuntu 11.04
custom kernel and generic ones with radeon driver. I don' remember this in the
past.
The whole desktop becomes very slow, switching between windows and/or
workspaces . Seems o be the video issue.

When I try to use the Unity dash search feature to navigate to files and
folders, it is extremely slow. For example, if I hit the super button to
launch the search and then type "Pictures" to get my pictures directory,
it takes almost 5 seconds for the folder icon to show. In

When I click the gnome-system-log icon after searching in the Unity
menus, I get an empty window with no logfiles, and no option to open
extra logfiles.
This defeats the purpose of a log viewer a little ;)

I click install updates in Muon, and it goes off and downloads and sets
