working fine but the front face buttons and "detectors" for screen rotation are
not recognized.

I've been trying to use the optimus nouveau switcheroo patch, but when I
switch to discrete, the screen just freezes. Switching back to
integrated does work.
This makes an 'ubuntu sound', so I guess X does work: echo DIS > switch

Updated the BIOS on the X220 and I'm still seeing issues, touchpoint
does not work and the trackpad buttons do not work as well. Adding
proto=bare clears up these issues. Fn + F8 does not disable the

Would you mind taking a look in to this? This still looks to be a
problem because the "account settings" dialog on my machine takes up
almost all the vertical real estate and I have a pretty generous
resolution compared to most laptops out there. It looks like there are
some patches in
I have the same problem on 11.10 (old version had it too), if I scp/nfs
a large file it starts, go fast but at some point the network of the
machine does not work anymore. sometimes it transfers 1GB others a
100MB. I use the bridge interface to get to the machine and it still
responding, it seems l
